Chemin de Fer de Provence

Accessibility for disabled passengers

  Mobility-impaired passengers

Accessing the train

Only new railcars are suitable for mobility-impaired passengers. The day before  you are due to leave, please  check traffic conditions by calling Nice train station on +33 (0)4 97 03 80 80 or, if you are leaving from Digne, +33 (0)4 92 32 08 56. Other trains are not suitable for wheelchair passengers.

Accessing stations and stops
The Chemins de Fer de Provence track is a hundred years old. Not all of the 50 stops along the line are suitable for mobility-impaired passengers. Following renovation work in 2011, some platforms now meet wheelchair mobility standards. However, the geographic location of some stops means they are not always accessible.

Mobility-impaired passengers can access all stations where staff are present to provide assistance, regardless of whether these stations meet mobility standards.

Deaf or hearing-impaired passengers

All new railcars have visual displays with travel information.
Fares

Companions of disabled passengers (who hold disability cards rating their disability at 80% or higher) are entitled to free tickets.
